Your safety and that of our staff is our highest priority. During our tours, this underpins all our operational decisions and procedures on and off the trails.
Our COVID-19 safety measures will be routinely reviewed to ensure ongoing compliance with the latest best practices outlined by medical authorities, official Government protocols, and industry leaders & benchmarks in each country we visit, as well as alongside our homeland of Australia. Therefore, Find Your Feet will maintain and update our COVID-19 Risk Mitigation and Response Plan on an ongoing basis.
When you join us, you can expect that the following COVID-19 health and safety measures will be implemented on all upcoming tours operated by Find Your Feet Australia. This includes both our domestic and international tours.
BEFORE JOINING US
Before joining us, we will ask that you complete a pre-departure questionnaire. You can expect questions concerning:
Any guest who feels unwell or injured in the 7 days prior to departure will be asked not to begin the tour. Therefore, it is mandatory that all guests have travel insurance that covers them in the event of sickness or injury. Should you not be able to participate at all, any expenses incurred should be claimed through your travel insurance provider.
UPON DEPARTURE
Face masks are advised to be carried for guests and staff, and should be used in accordance with health and Government protocols. Guides will provide a pre-departure COVID-19 safety briefing, including trip protocols and guest and staff responsibilities to ensure everyone's safety. Anyone who feels unwell on arrival at the tour's departure will be asked to isolate from the group until they feel well enough to rejoin. Should the guides be unable to provide an option for you to rejoin the tour (for instance on our remote tours where transport is limited), you will need to forfeit your place and claim your trip from your travel insurance provider.
SHOULD YOU OR ANOTHER GUEST BECOME UNWELL DURING THE TOUR
Should you, or a Find Your Feet staff member display COVID-19 symptoms, our COVID-19 response plan will be activated prioritising the following steps:
STAFF
Our team will be trained in our COVID-19 Risk Mitigation and Response Plan. This is in addition to the stringent health, safety and wilderness first aid training all guides undertake. If a member of our team is unwell, or have recently been required to isolate or quarantine, they will not be partaking in the facilitation of your tour.
VEHICLE TRAVEL
Find Your Feet will comply with all directions required by the local Governments at the date of departure. We recommend that all guests and staff carry face masks. In states, territories or countries where masks are no longer mandatory, you can choose to wear these if you wish. It is our preference that you wear a face mask when travelling on the tour in vehicles of transport or other modes of transport where you may be in close proximity to other members of the public, such as enclosed boats, buses or gondolas.
Any guest or staff member experiencing COVID-19 symptoms will not be permitted to travel in a vehicle at the same time as other non-symptomatic individuals (Find Your Feet will ensure a safe alternative for affected guests, as required).
FOOD PREPARATION AND MEALS
During our tours all personnel dealing with food preparations will be trained in best practice food safety and hygiene procedures. In addition to our regular procedures, you can expect that our team will:
