Chamonix has become known as the mecca of trail running and the location for the famous, Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB). This Trail Running Running Tour showcases the best alpine scenery & the French ‘way of life’. A trail running tour of a lifetime!
Chamonix, also known as Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, is a commune in the Haute-Savoie region of the Rhone-Alpes in southeastern France. The site of the first Winter Olympics in 1924, it is famous for skiing. However, Chamonix has become known as the mecca of trail running and the location for the famous, Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB), a 172km race around the Mont Blanc Massif. The township has the most incredible plethora of outdoor and sporting stores, and is abundant with cafes & restaurants serving French cuisine – it can be a dangerous place to be… and that is why we want to take you there!
Over the duration of our tour you will have access to our expert guides and coaches who always strive to facilitate an environment of education and learning for all elements of trail running. We are eager to share our knowledge on gear, equipment, nutrition, wilderness safety and conservation, adventure or race planning, local environmental and cultural significance and trail running techniques, tips and tricks that will have you dancing, thriving and keeping safe on the trails (we may also provide very limited French language lessons!). This tour and its iconic location is one not to be missed!

Our daily runs will be determined based on the group’s ability, health & happiness. However, each days run will build on the previous day. Some runs will be shorter with an emphasis on recovery (8-10km) whilst the longest run you may encounter is 20-25km on hillier mountain trails. Most runs will start and finish in Chamonix but we will also travel further afield to explore other areas. Fitness is important but you do not need to be elite to enjoy and participate in this stunning French Find Your Feet Running Tour. Beginners are warmly welcomed and all abilities will be catered for. * Our tours are a holiday involving trail running. Our guides will craft each days’ runs to meet your individual needs and en route will frequently stop to soak up the ambience and to take plenty of photos.
